Once this task has been satisfactorily completed, you are ready

to write a complete phrase outline. Take out a clean sheet of paper,

put your name on it, and on the third line write your thesis. Skip a

line and write Roman Numeral I. Next to it write the complete

sentence which you will use to introduce the first main idea about

which you are writing. Then, using the correct outline form, arrange

the notes which you have for that particular section of the essay. Do

the same for each of the other two main ideas. End the outline by

rewriting the thesis.
