Oswegatchie Environmental Education Program is situated on 1200 acre expanse of land inside the Adirondack Park, just outside of Croghan New York. The leadership development and outdoor education center provides the perfect environment for learning about our natural world. The property includes 4 bodies of water, various streams, wetlands, open fields, and woodlands for hiking, and environmental education.
The program consist of a high ropes course and an outdoor educational program to enhance leadership skills and team building concepts while giving the students an opportunity to appreciate their natural world via hands on activities. Activities include climbing a 40 foot simulated rock wall, rip line, canoing, hiking, and swimming.
The students are housed in Sutliff Lodge built in 1968 and located on Long Pond. Sutliff is a year round faciltiy which includes a male and female dormitories with bunks for sleeping 60 students. The lodge also has two large gathering rooms as well as a fireplace.
