Dear Parents or Guardians:
In accordance with New York State's Sex Offender
Registration Act, local law enforcement agencies
will, at their discretion, be notifying school
administrators of sex offenders living or working
in this district. We as a district are allowed
under this act to make you aware of any information
provided to us of any Level 2 or Level 3 sex
offenders.
We have recently been informed that a Level 3
sex offender is residing in our school district.
His name is Ronald K. Barnes Jr and he is residing
at 2762 Perryville Rd. This individual is
registered under the New York State Sex Offender
Registration Act as a Level 3 offender. Additional
information may be obtained on the Internet at
http://criminaljustice.state.ny.us.
As a part of our program in the Cazenovia
Central School District, we regularly remind
children of ways to keep themselves safe. We are
dedicated to keeping children safe at school and
encourage you to talk to your children about
personal safety. It is important to teach children
to use caution and to always avoid strangers and be
aware of their surroundings. Working together,
parents, teachers and police agencies can provide a
safe environment for our children. If you have any
