Introducing PowerSchool Student Information System

Since communication is one of the keys to student success, Cazenovia Central School District has instituted the use of the PowerSchool Student Information System. This web-based program includes a Parent Portal allowing parents of students in Grades 5-12 secure access to their children's grades, attendance and other school information in real-time. Please note that although grades appear in real-time, there will be a lapse to allow teachers time to grade assignments and enter the information. Information regarding each individual teacher's grading procedure is available through the portal. The Parent Portal's email capability allows for automated communication between school and home as well as providing a means of emailing teachers.

Parents will be issued a user name and password enabling them to access their child's student data. User names and passwords will be issued through the appropriate school office and will require that a parent appear in person with a photo ID. There are separate access credentials for each student. Portal Access credentials will be available between August 15th and 30th, and then after September 11th in the Middle School and High School Office. Demonstrations showing how to use the Parent Portal will be presented, for those that are interested, during September at the High School on a date and time to be announced and at the Middle School on September 28, 2006 at 7:00PM in the HS Auditorium.
